This week The Dudley Group hosted a pop-up living room at Russells Hall Hospital to mark national Carers Week.

Chief Nurse Dawn Wardell stopped for a cup of tea and a chat with other members of Dudley Carers Alliance to show her support for the annual campaign which aims to highlight the challenges carers face every day and help identify ‘hidden carers’.

Dawn Wardell said, “Many people who care for others don’t realise that they are carers, and so don’t access any of the support or services available to them.

“I hope that by marking Carers Week we can identify some of Dudley’s own hidden carers and encourage them to access the help they deserve.”
