Continence Service (Community)

The Continence Service assesses, investigates and treats adults over 16 years of age who are experiencing bladder problems or bowel dysfunction. There are a range of investigations that are available, including bladder scans, that help us to determine the best course of treatment based on individuals patients’ needs.

The service has links with other specialities such as physiotherapy and urodynamics (the study of assessing bladder and urethra functions) and we have specialist physiotherapists experienced in both female and male health.

Once a diagnosis has been made we will discuss your options with you and offer guidance on any medication and any continence aides that may help you.

Clinic times

  • Monday to Friday – 08.30-16:30

There is no out-of-hours service. The service is closed on bank holidays.
